![]() West ZooOpolis with Marco Minnemann is an ambitious new project with the über-talented German drummer, known for his breathtaking “interdependent ostinati” and heavy polyrhythmic grooves. Several composers have each been tasked to write and record music around an extraordinary 52-minute drum solo called Normalizer 2. Composers Trey Gunn, Mike Keneally, Phi Yaan-Zek, Mario Brinkman, Marco and John will each contribute their own unique compositional approach. John's production team includes Kevin Freeby on bass and some special guests including Chris "Sub-D" Taylor. Look for an initial compilation CD release coming soon on Abstract Logix record label followed by a monthly release of the individual guitarist-composers' albums!
